He’s Four!

27 10 2008

Jonas’ fourth birthday was fun. We just had a family day, which are always the best. We hung out in the morning and then after lunch we went to a D.A.R.E. Haunted House for kids 9 and under. I thought it would be short and fun, but we got there at 1, right when it was opening up, and there was a huge line already! We waited in line for about 40 minutes and then it took us 20 minutes to get through the whole thing!! It was horrible and lame. You would think that since it was for kids they’d have more lights on, but they didn’t. At time it was so dark you couldn’t see in front of you and had to feel along the walls! I’d say that wasn’t very thought out! A lot of kids were crying and one boy in front of us didn’t want to go through this one part where these big pillows were pushing against each other because it was so dark! I didn’t blame him, it was pretty scary. Luckily our kids were fine the whole time. I think they thought it was a wierd place to be! LOL. We decided never to do that again and I’d recommend to anyone living in Idaho Falls never to go to it either!

Jonas opened presents before dinner. He got a “Car’s” car mat from Mark and me, some “Cars” cars from my G&G Paulos and some little star wars figurines from my dad (thanks for sending the money for him! I picked out the presents for Jonas from them). He loved them all! I still have to go shopping and buy him something from his great G&G Doty. I was thinking a board game, or as Mark would call it a “bored” game!

Here are some pictures. Sorry it took so long to post them!

What a cute birthday boy! He picked out his whole outfit! The pants he’s wearing are actually Brynnan’s pants. He knew it was HIS DAY! He wouldn’t take no for an answer! LOL

He couldn’t wait to open his presents! This is the best picture Mark got because it all happened so fast! LOL

I took this picture:) Isn’t it cool. Jonas had the cars he got all lined up like this so I took the perfect shot:)

Jonas listening to Oma and Papa Blethen sing “happy birthday!” to him. He was licking the batter from the cake mix, but stopped long enough to talk to them.

For dinner we had Jonas’ favorite meal, chicken fries and french fries:) Yummy! and then cake of course. Jonas put on the candles himself and Mark decorated it with M&M’s:)

It was a good day and now I need to go get to work doing other stuff!

Smart Guy

So Brynnan was taking a nap yesterday and Jonas came into sit with me in the computer room after his movie got over. He was coloring for a bit and then stood up to show me his picture. He noticed the camcorder sitting on it’s docking charger and said “You fixing it, Mommy?” I said “Yes, it’s charging.” Jonas remembered that the other day I was filming them and it died while I was using it.

Jonas said next “It died.”

“yes, it did” I said.

Jonas : “On Tuesday? It died on Tuesday, Mommy. Not on Monday, on Tuesday.” !!!

The Birthday Week

24 10 2008

Well, this week is known as the birthday week on my mom’s side of the family. This year my sister Kaylee added a new birthday to the mix when she welcomed Jesse Mason Rader, her first baby boy, into the world on Tuesday October 21st! Yea, for Kaylee! I’m excited for her and her family:) She has a 4 year old step son so she won’t be new to being a mother, but she will be new at being a mom to a brand new baby!:) Good luck Kaylee and happy birthday Jesse!

Our Stacie

21 10 2008

I just got a call from Jonas’ old Physical Therapist:) I’ve been meaning to call her and have Jonas talk with her because he’ll ask about her every now and then in the last few months, but we get so busy tht I forget. I sent her a card a few weeks ago with a picture of the boys in it. As I was sitting here working on images for a customer she called and I was happy to talk to her. We miss her a lot! She was so much fun and worked so well with Jonas! I have tons of pictures of Stacie and Jonas working and playing together that I could fill a whole scrapbook full! LOLĀ  She first started P.T. with him when he was about 7 weeks old. Her office moved up to Rexburg in February of this year so we had to say goodbye to her as Jonas’ P.T. We’ve missed her a lot, but have tried to keep in touch through phone calls and mail whenever we remember. I thought I’d share some pictures of Jonas with Stacie over the years.

19 10 2008

I hope everyone is having a great day so far! I wanted to share some more thoughts today. I just want to say that I love we are studying the prophet Joseph Smith in Relief Society/Priesthood and the Book of Mormon in Sunday School! The lessons today were wonderful and so uplifting, yet again!

Digi Scrapping

17 10 2008

So I am doing this contest online at one of the Digital Scrapbooking places I go to. I’ve done 2 layouts out of 3 so far. The one I did this week was of Lainey. I really wanted to do a girly page and so I used some images from Lainey’s recent photography session. I also did a layout of the boys. What do you think?

A Day with Libby

17 10 2008

Megann asked me to babysit Libby on Tuesday from 8am-4pm. I was really excited because Libby is always so happy for me. Well, Dustin dropped her off and she was fine for about the first 30 minutes. We played and watched TV with Brynnan. Then I had to start the laundry and clean up a bit and Libby did NOT like that! I tried moving her into the bathroom with me so she could see me, but she was only happy when I would hold her:( It was horrible to hear her cry! I tried to be quick, but it wasn’t quick enough for her. Finally I finished and by then she was so riled up she didn’t want to calm down so we went for a walk. It also helped that Brynnan dumped out her diaper bag and found her pacifier, not on purpose! LOL

Get yours at Wal-mart!

16 10 2008

We took a family trip to Wal-mart last weekend and we found something exciting. I’ve posted about Mark helping his friend, Nels, with his movie “In Convenience” and some of you have even seen the movie and possibly already have a copy of your own. Well, those of you who don’t have your own copy you can now buy one at Wal-mart!:) (I’m not sure if it’s available anywhere but Idaho Falls and Rexburg, sorry) Mark was talking to me about how they were able to get the movie in Rexburg, but wasn’t sure if it was in the Wal-mart in Idaho Falls. We were both very excited to see that it was there! I took some pictures to remember the occasion. They’re from my cell phone so sorry about the poor quality.

I think you’ll soon be able to buy it on amazon.com as well. I’ll let you know when this becomes available.

Don’t wait until the last minute this year!

13 10 2008

I don’t know how many of you check my photography blog faithfully so I thought I’d post my specials that I have going on right now.

First, if you schedule a Family Portrait session before December 7th, you’ll recieve $10 off the sitting fee. If you have us design and print your Christmas Cards I’ll give you a free session in 2009.

Second, I’m giving away free sessions for newborns, seniors, and maternity. If you fall into any of these categories, or know anyone that does, please send them my way. I’m trying to increase my portfolio in these areas. Maybe I’ll throw something in it for you too:)

Thanks for all the comments and feedback about our new website. I love my website. It’s soooo much easier for me to do things on my own now. I don’t have to bother Mark at work to fix my mistakes. Hehe.

Oh, and don’t forget to check my website for a surprise within the next month or so:)
