I don’t have reason for this post, I just wanted to make sure you all knew we’re still alive:) LOL The weather has actually been pretty nice the past couple days. Not much has been going on. I’ve been really lazy:P Yesterday I forgot Jonas had an appointment to get his braces fixed until I got a call from “The Arc” at 8:50. For some reason that call reminded me Jonas’ appointment was at 9:00!!! Brynnan was the only one dressed and luckily I had just changed his diaper. I had to get dressed and Jonas changed and dressed in less than 10 minutes!! We actually did it! Can you believe it. It took us 7 minutes to get out the door. Of course we were late, but only by 5 minutes! I ws totally psyched. We’re NEVER that fast!! I guess I just need pressure to get out the door.
Anyway, that’s about the only interesting thing that’s happened this week. Mark got half of today off and has all of tomorrow of. I want to take the kids outside to play so hopefully we’ll do that.
We don’t have any big plans for tonight. Mark and I will probably watch a movie. He told me he wanted to have a Back to the Future movie-athon and I was totally up for it, but then he told me he was only joking. Maybe we’ll watch one anyway.
I hope you all have an enjoyable evening. Start planning those resolutions!:)
I decided to make banana bread for our neighbors on Sunday. I normally only do 4 bananas, but I did 6 this time the batter was flying more than normal. I thought it was funny.
And here are my little guys playing with their new star wars toys. They have such wild imaginations. I love to hear them playing together!

This is a little tool bench that came with a bunch of tools from Santa. The boys LOVED it! I think it was their favorite toy.
This was my present to Mark. Headphones for the computer, which is what cut my merry chistmas post short, so when he plays games it’s not so loud:) He told me he wanted them, but I told him they were too expensive, but “secretly” bought them for him later on. I say “secretly” because I thought he didn’t know about it, but he let me know after he opened it that he did know. I guess what happened was the billing information I put in didn’t go through so he had to reenter it all for me:P How annoying is that?!! I would’ve finally surprised him with a Christmas present after 6 years of marriage! LOL
The drill is battery operated so they both love it!!
And this is what our living room looked like when we were all done opening presents!
After we opened all the presents the first thing the boys had to do was play Lego Star Wars with Daddy, of course! They had fun, but Mark had to help Brynnan and Jonas at the same time! Jonas even willingly turned it off after play for 45 minutes or so, maybe less than that even! I think it was a tougher game than he thought it would be.
I thought this picture of Brynnan was cute. Just lounging away. I think they were watching Charlie Brown’s Christmas.
This is what happens when you give Brynnan a chocolate covered marshmallow Santa! Lovely mess right? I had to scrub at his hand for the melted chocolate to come off!! Don’t you love how the marshmallow is stuck to his hand and is about to fall off? He’s such an entertaining kid and definitely keeps me on my toes!
I have been talking about helping Jonas write a letter to Santa for a week or so now, but we kept forgetting. Tuesday night we finally remembered and so I sat with him and he wrote out this letter. In case you can’t read it, it says: “Dear Santa, I would like the Lego Star Wars game, please. Love, Jonas.” He’s getting good with his writing. I have to hold his hand up, but I can tell he’s moving the pen himself!I only have to guide a little bit:)
Reading a Christmas story before bedtime:) This was the boys’ favorite Christmas book this year. Every year it’s a tradition that we buy one or two new Christmas books. This year Mark bought a Curious George book, but the boys loved this snowman one.
Brynnan always has to read the same story with me, or Mark, whoever didn’t read it the first time. He’s a funny kid.
And here are the boys all clean and playing in their new Wall-E pajamas.
Jonas and Brynnan loved their Wall-E pajamas! I thought it would be fun to start a new Christmas tradition of buying the kids pajamas and that’s the present they open on Christmas Eve.
Jonas came home with this present from school on Friday so Mark opened it as our one present:) I already knew what it was, his teacher let me in on the secret. Isn’t the bag so cute?

This was last Wednesday when it was still warm enough to play outside in the snow. Brynnan kept throwing “snow balls” at Jonas. He didn’t like it!
Jonas got Brynnan back real good!:)
