Why is it that men just can’t understand what it’s like to be a woman? So it’s my pre-time of the month week, which is when I start PMSing really bad. Of course this time has to come when I’m really stressed out and haven’t slept well in about a week, even without kids! LOL So all day yesterday I was getting mad at everyone, even Ian who was being a smarty pants all day, but I think he realized why I was so mad by the time he left. He started to just go along with whatever I said. LOL *SIGH* It’s so hard being a woman, a mother, a wife and everything else I am. *SIGH*…. again!:)
Jonas funnies
31 05 2009This morning the kids woke up at about 6:30. I was still asleep so they came into my room to wake me up. I told them to go find Daddy downstairs so Jonas, who had scooted into my doorway, turned around and started to scoot out the door. Suddenly he stopped and said: “Where are the stairs?”
I thought it was so funny he forgot where the stairs were in our new house! LOL

We’re finally HOME!!:)
30 05 2009aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Now that the day is over and we can finally sit down it feels good to be an actual home owner!:) This week has been so crazy and busy I don’t even know where to begin. I’ll start by saying that we’re all moved over to our new house, but it is VERY messy and crazy. Mark and I haven’t eaten dinner yet, and it’s 10pm!! The kids had frosted flakes for dinner and we just put them to bed at 9:30!! That is so unheard of in this house! Our kids are in bed, lights out, by 8pm every night!!! Some nights we stretch it to 8:15, but usually not! I hope they SLEEP IN tomorrow!!! I know Jonas probably will so cross your fingers with us that Brynnan will too:)
I really want to include some pictures from today, but I don’t have the energy to copy them onto the computer and then fix them up to put on here so you’ll have to wait until next week sometime!! We had some fun moments amidst the crazy ones. Mark’s younger brother, Ian, came over to help us pack up. We are SOOOO GLAD that he came over to help because no one from the Elders quorum came!! It was memorial day weekend when it was announced that we needed help so maybe that’s why no one came. I don’t know. I had to do a lot more helping and sweating than I had anticipated and let me tell you it was not fun!! Guys are AMAZING!!! That was a lot of hard work and I did maybe a quarter of what Mark and Ian did!! So THANK YOU Mark and Ian!! You did a great job!
Mark’s parents arrived at noon with our boys. They had stayed with Mark’s parents for the week so we could close and finish packing. It was nice not having to worry about the kids being underfoot all week! THANKS for helping us with them, Mom and Dad!! We really appreciate that!! We also appreciate all the work that Dad does to get our Washer/Dryer and sprinkler system all set up!! He also helped get beds and everything else into the house. Thanks so much!! Thanks for helping with the kids Mom. I know you’ll be glad to go home without them! LOL We all love them, but it’s definitely hard being parents!:)
Since Marks parents came so late we got over to the new house with the truck at about 12:45ish. We unpacked some stuff and then Mom and I took the kids to get lunch. So by the time we ate it was almost 2:30. Then we finished unpacking everything and at about 4:00 Jonas was so tired that he suggested it was time for him to take a nap!!! So we let him! Brynnan was so excited about everything going on that he couldn’t sit down for even 2 seconds!! He came with me and Mom to clean the old house, which took 2 long hours!! ARGH!! I think we’ll definitely be in this house four 6-7 years!!!!! LOL
So that was our day. We’re very glad it’s over. I have to go help Mark make the bed and then go WIC shopping so we have milk in the morning:) Hope you all have a great night!

It’s Called a U-HAUL!!!
27 05 2009I understand that some people like to move themselves if they have their own trucks. What I DO NOT understand is, if you’re moving to a different city, more than 20 miles or more away, WHY on earth would you want to make trips back and forth with your own truck(s) when you could pay $50 for a Uhaul truck and do it in one trip???!!! SERIOUSLY??!!

I’m sure you’d love to know where this anger tangent is coming from, but you can probably guess some of it… We closed on the house today!!:) YEA!! WE’re very excited and giddy about it! The sellers signed the papers this morning and Mark and I signed at 1:00. Before we signed our agent, Sue, (who is awesome, BTW! If you need an agent I definitely would refer you to Sue or Trevor Arnold:) asked me if we would let the sellers stay in the house one last night, even though it would still be our house. Considering all the liability issues and that we have an IHFA (Idaho housing) loan that doesn’t allow anyone to be in our house besides us, of course we said no. I was assuming that since Sue told the sellers that before we went into our signing appointment they would be out of the house by the time we had the keys, by the time it was OUR house!! Well, Sue got the keys at 5:00 and they were STILL moving out!!! 2 hours later we went over there, and they were STILLLLLL there and it looked like someone was going in to clean!! This is OUR house now!! They started moving out YESTERDAY!! Where are they moving to? Blackfoot! Did they get a Uhaul? No, of course not! Who would want to get a Uhaul and pay less money when you could make 20 or so trips back and forth with your own truck. I mean, doesn’t that sound like so much FUN??!!
Needless to say, I’m upset and annoyed. They were such nice people, but there’s really no excuse for this. Our realtor is really surprised that this is happening. They know they should’ve been out more than a few hours ago!!
Anyway, other than that setback we’re really excited!! I think we’ll try to go over later tonight, but I’m not holding my breath for them to be totally gone until like 9pm. Oh, well! Now I need to get back to packing. I still have sooo much left to do!:P

This is THE Week!!
24 05 2009Are we ready for the busy week ahead of us? NO WAY!! I still have about half of the house to pack up. Tomorrow the boys and I are headed to Boise to get Jonas’ cast taken off and a new one put on. They’ll stay with Mark’s parents for the rest of the week and I’ll drive home Wednesday morning. We close Wednesday afternoon and will hopefully get the keys by soon after that. I don’t know what time the sellers are signing the papers, but hopefully Wednesday morning so that after Mark and I sign it can go directly to final underwriting so we can get the keys sooner!! I’m sooo excited, but totally nervous! I want Wednesday to come and go quickly so we can have the keys in our hands and not have to worry about anything going wrong. Not that I think anything will, but there could always be the possibility. We’ll be moving everything in on Saturday. If I can get everything packed up before Friday I’ll take some of the small stuff over early so I can get some things organized and unpacked. I also have to clean the house too because the new renters are moving in on the 1st.
The next month is going to be sooo busy!! I know I’m going to go crazy. I just did a BIG group family session of Kat Brown’s family (she’s a friend who used to be in our ward). I think it went pretty well, but I haven’t even gotten to look at the pictures yet! LOL I was so tired yesterday after the almost 2 hour session that I came home and lounged most of the day. We did go look at a few dogs that were on craigslist, but not really sure if we want them. I think that once we get all moved into the house it’ll be easier to really figure out when we want to get a dog.
Jonas’ last day of school is June 1st. I’m sad that he won’t be going to the same school next year. I love his teachers and so does he! I just hope he can go to the school that will be a few blocks from our house. We’ll have to wait and see.
I hope everyone has a good week!

My Entertainment
20 05 2009So I just finished reading the book Marley & Me a couple days ago. If you haven’t read it you need to!! That guy is a GREAT writer!! It was a wonderful book to read.
Anyway, at the end of the book the author was talking about his new dog after Marley had died. Her name is Gracie and she’s THE perfect dog, but he said he would never write a book about her because nothing interesting ever happened with her. He still loved her, but he also had loved Marley. I thought that was very interesting of him to say. In a way I can apply it to my kids! LOL I know, that’s bad, they’re not animals, but they are my life, my entertainment. They are the ones that make my life interesting!!
Last night while I was cutting Jonas’ hair (yes, I cut it, finally, and I’m totally unhappy with it! Pictures to come later) Brynnan found an empty box of goldfish in the hallway. He realized he could fit inside of it so he did just that. I had Mark take some pictures since I was busy ruining Jonas’ hair.

Such a silly boy!:)
This morning Brynnan woke up at 5:00 and wouldn’t go back to sleep so at about 6 I went out to the couch with him. He FINALLY fell asleep and both of us woke up at 8!! We had left the windows open to let in the cool air and it was really windy this morning. Brynnan heard the wind howling and ran to the window to see what it was. When he didn’t see anything, but he kept hearing it howl every once in a while he would say “What’s that? Woooo?” Mimicking the howling noise. It was so funny!! He ran back to the couch and jumped under the covers. He kept saying “Hi!” so I would say it back to him until I realized he was saying “Hide!” So we hid under the blanket from the howling wind. Everytime he would hear it he would stop and listen and say “Woooo!!” It was so funny!

Hiding under the blanket from the wind.

What a cutie!:)
Jonas has been sick the past couple days so he’s not in a picture taking mood. We thought it was his shunt having problems because he was complaining of a headache Monday and Tuesday, but yesterday I took him to the hospital and had CT scans done of his shunt. They came back normal so the dr. tested his urine and sure enough it’s a bladder infection!! Poor Jonas!! He just keeps getting them, even though we give him his preventative medicine. I don’t know what to do!! We just increased his dosage back in October after he had to stay in the hospital for a few days with a bladder infection that wouldn’t go away! *SIGH* Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Hope you’re all doing well!!

My Little Missionary
18 05 2009Marks mom bought a subscription to “the Friend” magazine for us a while ago. I got the new issue today and sat down flipping through it. My brother Matt is on a mission and I’ve talked about it with the kids before. Tonight I came upon a little picture article called “How I can be a good missionary” by Elder Oaks. There were a few pictures along with ideas on how to be a good missionary. I thought that would be something simple for the kids to understand for a quick FHE lesson. I asked the kids what each picture was and they would answer and I would read the little blurb underneath. Jonas was really good at answering the questions. Then to my surprise he started talking about himself going on a mission . He said something like, “I’ll go teach the gospel.” I explained about my brother Matt being out and teaching the gospel away from home. I think that really worried Jonas because he then said, “I teach the gospel, but I don’t leave you.” I wasn’t really sure what to say to that. I tried to explain how he doesn’t have to leave me now to teach the gospel, but that he can share the gospel with his friends. He seemed ok with that, but he would always make sure that he wouldn’t have to leave me. I thought it was so cute and sweet. I was really glad that he kept saying he wanted to teach the gospel. I guess, by small and simple means, big things come to pass:)

Couponing
17 05 2009I know you’ve all heard of this fun little activity that “thrifty” mom’s and wives do. Well, I’m not one of them. I’d love to be, but I just don’t seem to have the organization skills or time to do it. It all seems too complicated to me. I know someone who does it and she blogs about what she buys, how much she paid and how much she saved. It’s amazing!
Am I the only one that can’t process how to do this task of “couponing”??!! Or I guess I shouldn’t say that I can’t process how to do it, I just feel so overwhelmed by it. I think I’m going to try it out though. If you want to try it out with me I’ve found some websites that might be helpful.
Penny Pinching Diva
I guess Albertson’s really can be “Your Store”, as their slogan goes:)

Mmmmm!!
17 05 2009My friend, Karlenn, brought over a couple pieces of strawberry rhubbarb pie tonight. Oh, man! It’s soooo good!! I’m not much of a pie maker, but, I’m definitely a pie eater:) I love it!! My grandma used to make rubbarb crisp when I was little and I loved it. I haven’t had it in years though. I’ve been wanting to have some lately, I was so excited when Karlenn said she made some. Thank you Karlenn!!

Doesn’t it look YUMMY?!

12 05 2009I have not had the best day!! The tooth that I ended up not needing a root canal on has been bothering me ever since I got it filled and “fixed”. I’ve been back to the dentist so many times to have it filed down that I’ve lost count! LOL Each time they took X-rays to make sure nothing was wrong and the dentist never found any problems. Until today!:P The tooth just isn’t healing so he said I need a root canal. Well, luckily I have insurance, but it’s crappy insurance and would only cover about $400 of a $1900 procedure!! Luckily Mark and I have been saving up for some things for the house so I didn’t have to charge it, I just payed with cash, but I wasn’t able to get the crown because I didn’t quite have enough. So hopefully we can close on the house sooner so I can get the crown done.
