No, I’m not potty training my kids and they decided to poop in the playroom. I kind of wish that was what happened though! Mark woke up early this morning, I think 5:20 or so. He took Lilac out to go to the bathroom (outside) and she didn’t go, at all. He thought that was weird. A bit later he came in to the bedroom and asked me to get up. As soon as I got downstairs I could smell the present Lilac left us! And it was FRESH!!! Sure enough, there was poop in about 6 different places, scattered around the toys the boys didn’t pick up yesterday. Luckily, it was only on a few of them! Mark stepped further into the room and realized that she had gone pee too!!!! It was on their Cars mat so that was easy to clean, we just stuck it in the washer. I sprayed down the room and cleaned it up. I even sprayed Odoban and air freshener, but I can still smell it!! ARGH!! I brought a candle warmer downstairs now so hopefully that will help clear the smell. I don’t know why she would’ve gone downstairs!! We keep a blue tarp upstairs in the bathroom for this reason and the first or second night she went poop in there so I don’t know why she would’ve come downstairs to go this morning. It’s very frustrating! Especially since she doesn’t understand that she did something wrong. *SIGH*
And here she is, so proud of herself! 
Ugh. That is SO why we don’t have a dog! Cats you don’t have to train-they just KNOW.
Yeah. Welcome to the world of dogs. I love them so much, but I DON’T love cleaning up their crap. The carpet is never the same.
you could try crate training her. It is okay to leave her in a crate all night. It’s not mean. Dogs don’t potty where they sleep, unless it is an emergency. Our dog would whine or bark if she really needed to go at night. She loved the crate. we’d open the gate and she’d run right in and lay down. we also have a bissell steam cleaner for pets. it comes with a heater to get extra deep. its at walmart we love it.
